McMaster University is a public research university located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1887, it spans 300 acres of state-of-the-art facilities and vibrant student life. The theological faculty of Woodstock College and Toronto Baptist College combined to become McMaster University in 1887. In 1930, the university moved from Toronto to Hamilton. In 1957, McMaster University became a publicly funded, non-denominational institution. In 1965, the university's medical school was founded.
